'Strings and all that Jazz' in the Company
For many years we have been offering concerts at our venue in cooperation with the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. They are open to the public and free of charge. Regrettably, due to Corona, the events have not been held for a long time. The performances have been greatly missed by both our guests and ourselves. So, we were more than happy to oblige when we received a request from the music college.
The new professor for Jazz/Rock Pop Composition at the Hochschule für Musik, Stefan Behrisch, was looking for an exciting location for the accompanying video recordings of his students' own compositions. Our open office landscape with its own concert area not only offered enough space for this, but also interesting perspectives and light effects. One Saturday, the performing ensemble of four classical musicians (string quartet) and four jazz musicians (flute/clarinet/guitar/piano) entered new sound territory between E (Entertainment/ Jazz) and E (Ernest/ Classic) music under the title "Strings and Jazz".
