New production building in Großröhrsdorf
The new production site of Deutsche Werkstätten in Großröhrsdorf is now in operation. Almost exactly one year has passed since the ground-breaking ceremony on the open space in the industrial park. In the meantime, the employees have moved into the new modern building and are already working on several projects.
In Großröhrsdorf the focus will be on exclusive, individual interior design of private residences, penthouses and apartments. In order to the increased demand in this area, an additional production site was sought. The new building was designed in-house. The building combines manufacturing and office space. The roof over the large production hall is characterized by a cantilevered wooden truss construction, so that the entire interior offers maximum flexibility.
In addition to the visual appeal, environmental protection was also important in the planning. Thus the building is completely independent of fossil fuels. Heat pumps, a photovoltaic system and a chip boiler, in which the wood residues resulting from production are burned, are used for this purpose. A total of around 30, mostly regional construction companies were involved in the construction. Deutsche Werkstätten have invested around 4 million Euros. In the next weeks, the outdoor facilities will still be designed.
