We accompanied the preparation of Filip Zorzor's exhibition Rau Zart for several weeks. You will see the installation by the company's apprentices, hear the curator and the artist, and we hope that all this will whet your appetite for a visit to the gallery itself.

In life it is called perspective, in art beauty - the paintings from Filip Zorzor's picturesque cosmos are syntheses of the perceived and the sensitively discerned. They are images of human existence, social, political, tonal and sensual. It is always about the optical-emotional totality in the sense of a high intensity of experience. The works are not mere reproductions but arrive at a very individual pictorial language through questions intrinsic to painting.
The artistic process becomes visible in the paintings through superimpositions, layers and layers of form and drawing. Exuberant grids and botanical forms create a decidedly non-representational complex space of abstraction. The thoughts on which his ideas are based, the resistance they had to overcome, are initially made invisible by Zorzor's distractingly soft colouring. Only when one reads the title of the picture or delves into a detail does the ethereal space behind the canvas suddenly open up.
