Exhibition Colin Ardley: Transition II, Rewind-Stop-Fast Forward

The exhibition focuses on spatial installations, on display is a wide spectrum from small pieces to large artwork with an architectural reference. Ardley's sensitive handling of space and movement is outstanding. He transforms the two-dimensional into the three-dimensional and creates structures from colours, surfaces, lines and direction. Each work stands for fundamental themes and their emotional content, these include upheaval, collection, explosiveness and contemplation.

In addition to the art on display, Colin Ardley also designed the exhibition architecture. The movement recognisable in his artworks, which is simultaneously lyrical, dynamic and precise, is transferred to the entire exhibition space. Ardley thus once again demonstrates his feel for the movement of space, both concisely and on a grand scale.
