DW Laboratory

Despite years of experience and a high level of expertise, achieving the perfect finish and overcoming the problems of discoloration, cracking, or peeling, has always been a challenge. External consultants have provided some advice in the past, but nobody has supplied the perfect solution. Since 2008 the Deutsche Werkstätten Research and Development team have been able to test all materials in their very own state-of-the-art laboratory, equipped with a universal testing machine for pressure and adhesion, and test chambers for Ultra-Violet light and extreme temperature fluctuations.

The laboratory is busy with the constant flow of new materials and material composites, developing and testing new finishes and exposing them to possible damage scenarios. The opportunities are endless, but so are the challenges they pose. Through effective weathering and corrosion testing, experts working in the laboratory can select the most appropriate materials. The scientific approach to testing ensures that successful processes can be reproduced for future applications.
